Parfait Gasana brings extensive knowledge of development patterns and politics in sub-Saharan Africa. He developed his expertise through many years of research, analysis, and coalition-building at institutions such as Yale University, the University of Connecticut, the University of Massachusetts-Boston, the Government of Rwanda, the Legal Aid Forum, the International Institute for Justice and Development, and the global health NGO Team Heart. While working as the Assistant Director of the Center for Peace, Democracy, and Development at UMass-Boston, Mr. Gasana helped to build important strategic partnerships that led to strong partnerships with the Institute for Policy Analysis-Rwanda, the Legal Aid Forum, and the recently established Local Governance Institute, producing two significant public-sector coalition grant submissions.
